After the 1940's decade Nepal adopted a policy of financial liberalization.The private and joint natural banks and financial institutions increased in the market.

२०४० को दसक पछाडि मुलुकले वित्तीय उदारीकरणको निति अवलम्बन गरेको हुँदा निजी एवं संयुक्त लगनिका बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाहरुको उपस्थिति बढ्दै गएको कारण पुराना बैंकहरुलाई पनि प्रतिस्पर्धी भएर अगाडी बढाउनु पर्ने आवस्यकता उत्पन भयो। यी कारणले गर्दा वित्तीय क्षेत्रको सामस्टिगत सुधारको आवस्यकता महसूस भयो।

Financial Sector Reforms means gradual liberalization of financial market and it's payers and opeaning all types of depository institution and other non-deposition financial institution to private sectors.

वित्तीय सुधार कार्यक्रमले वित्तीय संस्थाहरुको समसामयिक मूल्याङ्कन ,अनुगमन र सुधारका साथै तिनमा परिमार्जन गरी अन्तराष्ट्रीय मापदंडको बनाई कार्यदक्षता र उत्पादकत्व अभिबृद्धि गर्ने प्रक्रियालाई जनाउछ।

→To increase the positive banking and financial competition.

→ To increase strong account or accounting system.

→ To increase the supervision of the Central Bank.
